Make It in Union County Logo Contest

 

The Union County Chamber and UCPS are seeking students to design a new logo for the annual Make It in Union County week and we want to tap into the talent, skills and creativity of YOU, the future leaders in Union County!

What is Make It in Union County?

MIUC celebrates modern manufacturing in Union County, and the professional opportunities it can offer students in the area.  Its mission is to increase awareness of the exciting and challenging careers in manufacturing available right here in Union County.

Today’s manufacturing processes involve engineering, management, computer programming, supply chain logistics, and other areas of expertise.  Those manufacturers need young people with high-tech skills in order to ensure highly skilled and competitive workforce.

Who is eligible to submit a design?

The contest is open to all current UCPS middle and high school students.  Only one entry per student will be accepted.

How do I submit my design?

Your completed application and design must be submitted via the form at the bottom of this page.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

What specifications must my design have?

Designs must be submitted as follows:

  • File Format: jpg or png
    • After judging is completed and a winner is selected, the winner will be asked to submit original vector files (ai, eps) with fonts and color codes.
  • Hi-Resolution Image
  • Max File Size for the contest image: 6MB

No other file formats will be accepted.

What is the deadline for entries?
  • Entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. March 27, 2020
  • Late entries will not be considered.

What can I win if my design is chosen?

The winning submission will become the logo for Make It in Union County and used for all marketing and events during the week.

  • The winning designer will receive $250, a job shadow opportunity with a Senior Marketing Manager at Greiner Bio One in Monroe, as well as recognition at a school assembly.
  • The second-place designer will receive $100 and recognition at a school assembly.
  • The third-place designer will receive $50 and recognition at a school assembly.
Who is judging the designs?

The designs will be judged by an independent panel consisting of manufacturing and marketing experts.



2020 Make It in Union County Logo Contest Copyright Release

My participation in the contest allows the Union County Chamber of Commerce to reprint and/or reuse the logo(s), which I have submitted herewith, in various media formats for an unlimited amount of uses over an unlimited time period. Use of the logo(s) is granted at no charge to the Union County Chamber of Commerce.  The Union County Chamber of Commerce has sole discretion to crop, edit or otherwise enhance the images.

I certify that the images submitted are my original work, and if copyrighted that I am the sole copyright owner. Copyright of the images remain the property of the artist.

By participating in the contest, I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Union County Chamber of Commerce from and against all claims, actions, proceedings, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs that may arise from or related to any infringement on any intellectual property rights or other rights of a third party.

Participants will be asked to sign the above Copyright Release form.
